The Technical Implementation Engineer at Axon plays a pivotal role in deploying Prepared's AI-powered emergency communication solutions to public safety agencies. This position is integral to the Customer Success organization, ensuring seamless onboarding and successful adoption of technology in 911 centers nationwide. The role involves both on-site and remote implementations, directly impacting the efficiency and effectiveness of emergency response systems.
Key responsibilities include leading hardware setup and system integrations for public safety agencies, serving as the primary technical contact during customer onboarding, and configuring and supporting proprietary hardware. The engineer will also provide Tier 2 technical support, troubleshoot escalated issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance implementation processes. Additionally, contributing to process and documentation improvements to facilitate future scaling is expected.
Candidates should have over five years of experience with public safety systems such as 911 call handling, CAD, radio consoles, and logging recorders. Prior experience in technical field services, implementation, or installation roles with a strong customer-facing component is essential. The role requires autonomy, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to travel up to 50% for on-site deployments. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset are also important.
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $111,600 to $148,800, depending on geographic location and experience.
