Technical Support Engineer - Dedrone by Axon
The Technical Support Engineer at Dedrone by Axon plays a pivotal role in providing second and third-level support to customers and partners worldwide. This position is integral to Axon's mission of protecting life by delivering cutting-edge airspace security solutions. The role is based in either Sterling, Virginia, or Mesa, Arizona, and reports directly to the Director of Customer Support and Service.
Key responsibilities include developing a comprehensive understanding of Dedrone's Airspace Security Solutions, diagnosing and resolving complex software and hardware issues, and managing customer inquiries through to resolution. The engineer will also be responsible for maintaining and monitoring customer systems, documenting technical knowledge, and collaborating with engineering teams to perform root cause analyses. Participation in on-call support and weekend coverage is also required.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or have at least five years of relevant work experience. Essential skills include excellent troubleshooting abilities, strong knowledge of networks and Linux, and effective communication skills. Familiarity with consumer UAV protocols, RF technology, and cloud computing solutions is advantageous. The role requires U.S. citizenship, the ability to obtain government security clearance, and passing a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) background check.
