Technical Support Engineer I
Axon is seeking a high-energy, experienced Technical Support Engineer I to join our team dedicated to supporting law enforcement agencies. In this role, you will play an instrumental part in resolving critical and escalated technical issues, ensuring a stellar experience with Axon products and services. This position is based in Scottsdale, Arizona, and follows a hybrid schedule, with in-person collaboration from Tuesday through Friday and remote work on Mondays.
As a Technical Support Engineer I, you will work closely with law enforcement customers to research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify solutions for Axon device and system issues via phone and email. You will assist the Tier 1 support team by answering questions, aiding in troubleshooting efforts, and providing training. Additionally, you will develop knowledge base articles, report bugs and trends to the necessary Axon teams, and participate in an on-call rotation for outages or other critical escalations as needed.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience or certifications. A minimum of 3 years of technical support experience and 3 years of SaaS experience are required. Familiarity with mobile app ecosystems (iOS and Android), app distribution, and common debugging tools (e.g., Xcode, Android Studio) is essential. Experience with entry-level networking concepts, including routing, switching, and API connectivity troubleshooting, as well as operational knowledge of computer/server hardware, operating systems, and storage devices, is also necessary. Network and telecommunication certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
