Technical Writer II, (Hardware)
As a Technical Writer II at Axon, you will join the Product Enablement team to create comprehensive documentation that enhances customer understanding of our hardware products and services. Axon is dedicated to protecting life through innovative public safety technologies, and this role is integral to ensuring our customers can effectively utilize our solutions.
In this position, you will collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to develop and update release notes, user guides, and UI content. Your responsibilities include devising efficient content strategies, performing content analysis for new features, and continually improving documentation based on customer feedback. Additionally, you will evangelize best practices for technical communications and partner with the training team to promote content reuse and efficient learning plans.
The ideal candidate has over five years of experience in technical writing or related fields, with a strong ability to write for diverse audiences, including non-technical end users and IT experts. Proficiency in writing documentation for both hardware and software products is essential. Experience with AI tools to enhance content development, familiarity with style guides, and expertise in HTML and markdown editors are also required. Project management experience and knowledge of tools such as MadCap Flare, Atlassian JIRA, and Adobe InDesign are preferred.
