As a Territory Manager, you will lead a team of business development and underwriting experts to maximize production with brokers. This role involves partnering with senior leaders, external carrier partners, and cross-functional teams to develop playbooks, tools, and reporting mechanisms that enhance team efficiency and effectiveness. Success in this position is measured by the performance of your territory relative to budget goals.

Key responsibilities include strategic leadership and P&L management, such as creating and owning the P&L for your territory, setting new business and renewal revenue targets, and developing territory-specific strategies aligned with budget goals. You will also be responsible for team leadership and development, including onboarding, training, coaching, and mentoring Risk Engineers to maximize individual and collective performance. Additionally, the role involves broker relationship management, focusing on developing strategies to strengthen relationships with retail and wholesale brokers, gathering market intelligence, and driving broker relationships that unlock new business opportunities. Operational excellence is also a key aspect, involving championing the use of technology and data analytics to streamline operations, providing accurate production tracking and forecasting, and ensuring all customer touchpoints meet company standards.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and over 10 years of experience in professional liability and/or management liability. Demonstrated problem-solving and project management abilities, combined with impeccable business judgment and experience executing strategic and operational initiatives, are essential. A highly organized and systemic approach to identifying and solving problems, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to articulate contractual, technical, financial, and value points with partners and internal teams, is required. Self-direction, motivation, and strong collaboration skills are also important.

Compensation for this role includes stock options, allowing employees to participate in the value they create at Counterpart. Health, dental, and vision coverage are provided, covering up to 100% of monthly contributions for employees and up to 80% for family members. A 401(k) retirement plan is offered to support financial health. Parental leave includes up to 12 weeks at 100% regular pay for birthing parents and 8 weeks for non-birthing parents.
