Test Automation Engineer - RF Sensor Technologies
Axon is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to enhance the quality and reliability of Dedrone's RF sensor software and systems. This role involves developing and maintaining automated tests across component, integration, and system levels, while strengthening test infrastructure and continuous integration environments. The position is based in Kassel, Germany, and follows a hybrid work schedule, emphasizing in-person collaboration from Tuesday to Friday, with remote work flexibility on Mondays.
Key responsibilities include creating and executing automated tests to support the quality of Dedrone's RF sensor software, reproducing issues, collecting logs and data, and clearly reporting findings to Engineering and Technical Support teams. The engineer will also maintain and improve test setups, including Linux-based systems, test environments, and hardware, contribute to test documentation, and support release and field testing as needed. Utilizing modern tools, including AI-assisted workflows, to improve test speed, coverage, and maintainability is also expected.
The ideal candidate will have a technical education in electrical engineering, computer science, embedded systems, or equivalent practical experience. Hands-on experience writing code or scripts in any scripting language and a motivation to grow in test automation are essential. A structured and analytical mindset with a strong sense of quality, quick learning ability, and good English communication skills are required. Additional desirable qualifications include experience with Linux systems, basic networking knowledge, and exposure to drones or RF sensor technologies.
