itD Tech is seeking a Test Engineer to lead quality assurance initiatives for hardware and network systems, ensuring their reliability, performance, and scalability. This role is integral to the company's commitment to operational excellence by validating system functionality and identifying defects early in the development lifecycle. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team dedicated to delivering high-quality, production-ready systems through rigorous testing practices.
The Test Engineer will execute hardware and network quality assurance testing processes to validate system performance and reliability. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining Python scripts to automate testing workflows, analyzing and troubleshooting hardware components such as CPUs, ASICs, memory modules, FPGAs, optical modules, and power supply units. The role also involves performing bug tracking, issue isolation, and debugging to identify root causes, conducting diagnostic and operational tests, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to reproduce defects and validate fixes. Additionally, the engineer will create and maintain test cases, test reports, and validation documentation to support product quality.
Candidates must possess strong knowledge of hardware components, including CPUs, ASICs, memory modules, FPGAs, optical modules, and power supply units. Experience with Python scripting for test automation and workflow optimization is essential. Familiarity with SONiC commands and foundational networking concepts is required, along with hands-on experience with quality assurance processes, including bug tracking, debugging, and diagnostic testing. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience is required.
The position offers a competitive hourly pay range of $50 to $56. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, a 401(k) plan with matching, and paid holidays. The role is a 12-month onsite position located in San Jose, CA.
