Transaction Coordinator
The Transaction Coordinator at Compass plays a pivotal role within the Transaction Operations team, ensuring the seamless execution of real estate transactions. Compass, established in 2012, is transforming the real estate industry with its comprehensive platform that empowers agents to deliver exceptional service to clients. This position is based in Chicago, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring in-office presence twice per month.
Key responsibilities include managing and tracking documents for a high volume of real estate transactions from listing to close, ensuring compliance with brokerage and legal requirements. The coordinator will oversee contract deadlines, validate the accuracy of compliance and commission records, and provide support to agents regarding commission-related inquiries. Collaboration with sales managers and other support teams is essential to offer outstanding support to agents.
Candidates must possess a real estate license in Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, or Indiana and have at least two years of experience in a dedicated Transaction Coordinator role. Familiarity with standard real estate forms used in Illinois is required, along with strong written, quantitative, verbal, and presentation skills. The ability to digest detailed contracts, maintain strict confidentiality, and work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment is essential. A customer service-oriented personality and impeccable attention to detail are also important. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
The compensation for this role includes a base pay ranging from $30.00 to $36.00 per hour, with potential bonuses and restricted stock units as part of the package.
