Trust & Safety Operations Specialist
As a Trust & Safety Operations Specialist at Canva, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our global community by delivering consistent and empathetic operational support. This position is based in Makati and operates on a hybrid setup, aligning with local team needs to ensure optimal performance.
Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing and investigating sensitive abuse reports such as fraud, spam, and account takeovers. You will respond to regulated escalations, including government account requests and compliance workflows. Participation in incident response, post-incident retrospectives, and strengthening escalation playbooks are also key aspects of this role. Additionally, you will support and execute red-teaming simulations to proactively test safety and moderation robustness.
The ideal candidate will have direct experience in Trust & Safety operations, investigations, or platform abuse response. Hands-on experience with investigation or case tooling, such as Castle or similar platforms, is highly desirable. An interest or experience in AI safety work, including data labeling, prompt testing, classifier feedback loops, and red-teaming, will be advantageous. Strong judgment and resilience when working with emotionally challenging content, along with a collaborative style to work effectively across Policy, Product, Engineering, and Legal teams, are essential. Flexibility for on-call coverage, which may include weekends and public holidays as needed, is also required.
