The Vice President of Special Assets at Kapitus is responsible for managing a portfolio of high-risk and non-performing financings for major accounts up to $5 million. Key responsibilities include leading negotiations with debtors, borrowers, and guarantors to structure and implement complex workout solutions. The VP ensures all recovery efforts comply with legal requirements and internal policies, collaborates with in-house and outside counsel on major account litigation and insolvency proceedings, and conducts comprehensive analyses of financial statements to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies. Additionally, the role involves monitoring the performance of troubled accounts, analyzing trends, and preparing regular reports for senior management.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree, with an MBA preferred, focusing on business, management, or a quantitative field. A CPA or Certified Turnaround Professional designation is highly desirable. The position requires over seven years of experience in managing portfolios of high-risk and non-performing commercial financings, negotiating complex restructurings, and supporting legal counsel with major account litigation and insolvency proceedings. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in financial modeling and a deep understanding of commercial financing and creditor's rights.

Kapitus offers a competitive base salary ranging from $130,300 to $209,000, with the final salary depending on factors such as geographic location, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a quarterly legal bonus, comprehensive health insurance plans, flexible spending accounts, company-paid short-term and long-term disability insurance, paid maternity and parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and a 401(k) plan with a 25% match on employee contributions.
